Hello all,

I'd like to share two photos of my adult V. a. montandoni pair. The measurement isn't done superproperly, so let's say both vipers are about 80cm long. What are Your experiences with length in V. ammodytes? In a familiar thread, our friend Tiberiu said that the montandoni usually grow up to 55-60cm. That was quite a new information for me and I ended up confused, again knowing nothing about the length of ammodytes subspecies, lol. :-D Anyone?

Best regards,

Maciej

Hello there,

I recently got a nice trio from a friend, take a look.

Unfortunately I'm not sure about the subspecies, and that is my question. Any guesses here? I'll add some better shots soon, if needed (well, I'll add them anyway ;-)).

The request is: Is anybody in possession of a key to Vipera ammodytes subspecies? I have a paper - "The Snakes of Europe by G. A. Boulenger", but I'd like to know if something aiming more on european vipers ever came into existence.

Thanks ...

The local petshop called me today and asked if I could use some older Sebra finches as food for my snakes. So I picked them up and fed them to my male Eastern Green Mamba Dendroaspis angusticeps Really amazing if you see them strike and grab a flying bird with rapid speed out of the air. A bird does not know what hits him and dies in a instance.

But the snake grabbed it rigth behind te wings of wich I could take some nice shots.

I have not best camera but I think they turned out oke.

cheers

Richard

Hello everyone,

I have just seen that there is no topic about Langaha madagascariensis.

It is sad that there are not that many keepers of this wonderful species, but in consideration of their high demands, an intelligible reason for me.

Even in comparison to Ahaetulla sp. (I keep A. nasuta and have kept A. prasina) they are much harder to keep (...at least alive).

I had one clutch last year, but all of the eggs were unfertilized.

One of my females (died this summer):

at the same time Greets from Finland, a small introduction would be something like this:

Older guy who's main interest is in US made cars & bikes, tattoos, snakes and dogs, my music taste is more on the heavy side, i also like to read a good book sometimes.

Married, no children, right now 5 dogs and some snakes... that's a short crude cut

I am interested to know what the other members do for work. What did you study and what are you doing today.
I have decided (10 years after finishing school) to finally study. I recently completed my N4 level for Draughting and will begin N5 tomorrow. Thereafter I will do N6 and then see what direction I will take.
Anybody else?
