After three days of restlessness, my sputatrix female was ready to deposit her first clutch on Thursday.

4 eggs of normal size and white colour, 4 more white, but smaller eggs - and additional 12 small, slim and yellowish ones.

I'm incubating 8 of'em, let's wait and see........

20 eggs in it's first clutch at all isn't that bad in number – but i would have prefered only 10 but of normal size, of course.

The female (and the male) will celebrate their 5th birthday this year and have been captive ...

First one, If i breed my normal coloured N.kaouthia with suphan form N.kaouthia will it be somekind of cross or full kaouthia? read some articles from web that tells that there is ssp. for kaouthia known as N.kaouthia suphanensis. so will it be right to breed these together?

I would like to start keeping Naja, and I hope to do that with atra.

I have done some searching but havent bin able to find everthing I want to know.

Like: are there some differences in behavior between atra's from China, Taiwan ore other locations?

And also about the diferent color forms that there are.

Also I wouldn't mind to hear your own experians with these beauty's

could you help me out with this?

Thanks already,

Hello together,

because I know, that you like pictures, I want to show you one of my oldest snakes. It is a Naja nigricincta woodi. He is definitely now over 30 years old. Yesterday he shed, the best time to take a photo. He is complete black, even inside the mouth and his tongue is black too.

Now he is a calm and outstanding snake, in former times he spitted a lot of times. I own him since over 16 years and he will stay until the end of his days.

Bests

Hi,

I have recently acquired a snake thought to be Naja mandalayensis and would appreciate any comments.

She has a decidedly "kaouthia" look but readily spits when provoked with a grey mottled belly and a very feint neck band.

There are not many photos on the web to do comparisons with and so any opinions are welcome.

Thanks,

Brett

Diporus was certainly nonfunctional specimen, despite continuous force-feeding (wich I use but under worst circumstances) it never got in to shape.

Unethical it may seem to some, I often use snakes that are born disfigured, or otherwise beyond rescue, as a food to other snakes.

I currently keep 1.2 mossambicas, and the smallest female dislikes anything hairy.

Frogs, pinkies, crickets and even pieces of raw fish are eagerly taken, as ...

The male is the one you can see almost all of it,the female won,t stand still for me so i take some lucky shots of her.

The male is a little orange and the female is very light yellow, really beauty,s.

After two hours of rest in their new cage,s i offer some chicks and they eat both,so i,am a happy man.

regards ries

Here are some pictures of my two female specimens. Both are CB by Carsten who offcourse also is active at this forum.

Captive bred '08

This is the younger female (CB '09). The picture is not that good but it does show pretty well what the hood looks like. This snake has been true all corners of it's enclosure before even turning on your camera. A total ***** when it comes to shooting pictures.

Cheers,
