Light-headed PNG Taipan

Ive produce 12 PNG Taipans this year, and some have started to develop rather pale heads. One in particular has an almost white head, very similar to that of a coastal. Im just wondering if anyone else has ever had PNGs that have developed white heads? Both the parents of this baby are typical canni, with dark coloured heads on them, and most of the other babies have darker heads, but this one seems to get lighter with every shed.

hi all,

i recently obtained a couple of Coastal Taipan's.

and first thing i noticed while feeding them were their relatively long fangs.

cause of the fact i keep and saw several elapids and their fangs i thought these from

Taipan's are rather large for an elapid.

any opinion's and/or thought's about this?

here is a picture of my female

the male is similar in size and in looks will post a update from them both if aprecciated

Hello everybody!

I proudly present the next generation of Inlandtaipans bred by me.

While mating, the female pulled the male rapidly through the whole cage. I had to remove all branches to prevent any damages of the male. After mating the poor guy looked quite pitiful, he lost a lot of scales. After shedding he looked nice again.

One picture while egglaying. The female laid a clutch of 3 bad, and 8 good eggs at the 17. April. The three bad eggs are clearly visible.

Hello!

As there had been no topic on Oxyuranus microlepidotus I will start with it. My Partner Mario Strasser and me own 1,1 Oxyuranus microlepidotus (CB ´99). Since three years Mario tried to breed them without any success (bad eggs, Incubation got wrong,...). After that he told me to try it and since one year the animals living with me. What can I say? It seems I have more luck with them, our female laid 16 good eggs two weeks ago. Any questions?

Best wishes

Frank
