Hi,

does anyone here know something about d.acutus using/having post anal glands to spray bad smelling secretion in stress situations?

I know that some Agkistrodon do this. But how about Deinagkistrodon? Do they have this glands too?

Are there publications available?

Hi there,

I've got actually 2.2.0 Deinagkistrodon acutus. They are from 2005 and 2006. They should get in breeding this year.

I've got both darker and brighter colours. I've been asking around for a couple of times if the coloration (bright or darker) have something to do with an hypothetic goegraphical range?

Hello everybody,

Last year I bought a pair of this species and I love them. They went in hibernation for about 2-3 month's but they didn't ate for about 4 month's. They are doing great now and soon they get a bigger enclosure. Here are some photo's.

Dinnertime.

Best wishes,

Dennis.
