Let's put another one on the line

My Ovophis monticola convictus male. I bought this animal this year. It's a captive bred male 2006 out of WC parents, Kon Tum province, Mang Chamm village. If all goes well i'll buy a female CB 2007 in a few weeks out of parents from the same location. Breeding with them will take a few years because this animal has the spectaculair lenght of 35cm and the new female something like 25cm

Well, here it is!

Hi all!

I would like to ask you guys for any advice you can give me, regarding feeding ovophis babys.

I have pair of Ovophis monticola convictus CB09, which are around 18-20cm long and I have them one month now. I keep them cool and humid. So temperatures are around 22-24°C at daytime and around 18°C (sometimes 17°C). Humidity is around 70-80% (misting twice a week). They are in plastic boxes 25x20cm and have many hiding places ... everything. I would cook them tea or coffe if they would ...

we have Ovophis m. monticola for quite some time now here at the facility.

one interesting fact about them is, when they feed the double kill their pray. we usually feed fresh prekilled food items to our animals, but once in a while we do feed life mouse and rats(controlled and supervised of corse) - i know they might be some discussions about feeding life rodents, rather than the risk to injure the snakes , but we will discuss this topic somewhere else on this board...

anyway, interesting ...
