Hi,

today our Aspidelaps scutatus intermedius laid eggs.

Result: 1 infertile and 5 good eggs. We are very happy we already came this far. Hopefully the good eggs will remain good and will hatch. We will see.

And, ofcourse, I was very lucky I could make some pictures of this

The eggs are smaller then I normally see in my Aspidelaps lubricus lubricus breedings.

Average weigth is appr. 6 gramms /egg.

Cheers,

Hey,
I had a clutch of 8 Aspidelaps lubricus last year. The snakes are know 8 month old and feed well on babymice. I tried to pop the snakes some time ago, but I did not succeed. I hope they aren´t all female. I think that they are still to small to probe them. Are there other hints to determine the sex of my lubricus (scale count etc.)? At which age do you start to probe your lubricus?

Hello everybody,

Here are some photo's of my Aspidelaps. I really like them and I hope to breed them next year when I have a incubator for the eggs.

The photo's are a bit old but they are a lot bigger now.

Best wishes,

I have this animals and wondered why they hit the glass with their heads all the time ?

But I know this is because for them maybe it is not painfull like for us.

They have a sponge infront of their face!

This snake can be a good boxer maybe...
