Hello

I took these recently in the Western Ghats of India.

I would like a confirmation that they are Nuchalis as I am not 100% sure anymore...

A zoomed in picture of a yellow variety found within 100m of the one pictured above. It was not quite that yellow (over exposure on my part). I have more pictures of both if wanted but most of those I took of the yellow one are terrible.

Thanks, Owen.

Here's a species that is such a pleasure to keep, awkward to feed as they were WC and only in captivity since Jan '09, but day old quails do the trick

They are something I dreamed of for years, they are characterful even if they hide all day, I just love them

Java the yellow one first

The most common boiga species from Luzon, Philippines, is Boiga dendrophila divergens TAYLOR 1922. Keeping them in captivity is not much of a problem as long as temperature, humidity and ventilation are provided. Newly acquired wild-born specimens often are finicky feeders and would refuse whatever kinds of prey a keeper offers, although the food item comprises the snake's dietary requirement in the wild. To acclimatize B. d. divergens in a captivity, the terrarium has to be spacious and high ...

Unfortuantely I haven't been that good at taking and keeping pictures.

One of my gemmicinctas hatchlings. A clutch of 7 babies hatched in mid April 08. I raised the parents from neonates and they gave me one hell of a struggle, the first 12 months. So hatching these babies were fantastic!
