My male schlegelii has been "hunting" down the female for a some time and couple of days ago I withnessed the copulation and again yesterday so I decided to take couple of photos.. Unfortunatelly they were both behind all the plants etc. so I couldn't take a decent wideangle photo..
But here's couple of closeups.
I can't wait to see what the offsprings looks like if everything goes well.

Here's the pair

Its not mine to send. A friend is letting me use him for a few weeks to see what happens. I put them together on a Sunday, they stayed apart. Over the period of a week they got closer and closer until they were on top of eachother. Then they seperated. I have no idea if they did anything. I seperated them for a few days but nothing. I think I may pull them a apart a bit longer and try again. I hope he nailed her and she is loaded with pink babies. Who knows, I say good luck to us all who attemp to breed this year.

And here's update.

This was the females first litter and there were only 4 babeis, 14 casings, 1 dead and 1 dead "mutant".
So better luck next year..

Here's some photos.

Död

And some hardcore HR Giger stuff.. the unlucky deformed one.

Cheers

Congrats on another nice litter.
The pink/green ones look quite pretty. Nothing wrong with the rest of them either.

Congrats Sami, the babies are very nice. I am also very fond of the green and pink babies, but you could send me some gold with white spots, too!
