hi all,
i recently obtained a couple of Coastal Taipan's.
and first thing i noticed while feeding them were their relatively long fangs.
cause of the fact i keep and saw several elapids and their fangs i thought these from
Taipan's are rather large for an elapid.
any opinion's and/or thought's about this?

the male is similar in size and in looks will post a update from them both if aprecciated

from my understanding they have the longest fangs of the elapids.

its quite surprising the first time you see them open their mouths.

Taipans are known to have longer fangs than other same sized australian elapids like Pseudonaja sp or Pseudechis sp. It's like Death adder too, who have pretty long fangs if you consider the lenght of the snake.

I don't know if taipans have the longest fangs of the elapidae group, because you have to consider those of king cobras...

Oh yes ! what an awesome face and eyes I'd definitely keep a couple pairs of these , do they also change color with the seasons like the Inlands ? I have seen them really dark with white faces.
