PostSubject: Dendroaspis jamesoni kaimosae   Sun 28 Jun - 23:35

Hello,

I have good news: at the 23rd of June the first Dendroaspis jamesoni kaimosae was born! cheers In total today there are 3 animals born, one was disabled and died today. The other two animals are doing well and it seems, that they feel like 2 meters! Highly aggressive! One egg is still in the incubator and it is not smelling. Maybe……

Some parameters of the breed: mating was at the 27th of November 2008. The female was feeding until the end of pregnancy. At the 8th of March 2009 she laid 7 bad eggs. One week later, at the 15th of march she laid 4 good eggs. The reason for the early egg deposition might be the males behaviour (the animals were not separated while the pregnancy). He was always trying to mate again and disturbed her eyery day.

I hope I can bring the juveniles up and learned my lesson for the future: In the next breeding season the parents will be separated for the time of pregnancy. See pictures below!

Greetings from Gemany

Frederik
