You should use normal surface desinfection liquid (not hand desinfection). It is used in hospitals too. You shoud find this at ebay for e.g.
After a while the alcohol is gone and thats it.

But you shouldn´t forget that this needn´t kill parasites !!!

If you don´t want to use the hardcore chemical way, you should put the decoration parts in the oven, freezer or best way throw it on the rubbish dump

Yes..... Laughing it´s the safest way to get rid of the shit.

If you have natural parts like wood, stones or something else the oven version is very good.
They should survive about 120° C for a while and that should kill your parasites.
And palstic stuff could be cleaned by surface desinfection.

Rinse the items with a strong stream of water. Then let them sundry for a few days turning the items so all sides are exposed to direct sunlight. I hate using chemicals around my snakes. Nothing beats UV!

I use Chlorhexidine Solution extensively in my collection. You mix 1 ounce of solution in a spray bottle and you can use it as a topical spray for cuts and abrasions and also be used for cleaning cages and supplies. Veternarians also use and recommend it. Will not harm your animals.

Easiest way to do that is put them to a sauna Cool ... 80 - 120 degrees celcius ( 1-2 hours) and no chemicals ... really safe for snakes.

I also think that chlorexidine is good. The trick is to get the right mix to kill both gram positive and gram negative bacteria.
Even Sodium hypochlorite at 4% will do this and costs nothing.
QAC (Quatenary ammonium compound) or food grade disinfectants with a neutral (7.2pH) will also work perfectly.
