| Hello. I put some pics of my babies of atheris nitschei. They born of a WC female and I have them of newborns. They are a very good feeder, and very active and healty. I feed them with a 1 day mouse every week. One of them shed for first time and the colour change is amazing. Now is green-grey with black patters. I will put photos. I hope you like. Regards. |

| Wow, those are fabulous Emilio! That is awesome that they feed so aggressively and aren't shy about it at all. I hope that they continue to do well for you and that you continue to post photos of them as they make their color change. Thanks for sharing. |

| Do you have any more photos of these and the adult? It looks that one of them has a stripe not zigzag pattern? The one in the middle in the last photo. How many of them you got from the female?
Hope they grow nicely! |

| Thanks for the updated pic, Emilio. I'd love to see more as they mature. I wonder why they are born so dark and drab if they are going to start changing to green so quickly in their lives. I mean, it's not like they were their drab colors long enough to have made a difference in their survival in the wild. I could see them being born dark and drab if that better suited the foliage of the flora that they hide in as young, but that doesn't seem to be the case at all. That's interesting to me. |

| Nice babies Emilio, congrats on such a nice bonus Derek, good 'question'... It would be interesting why the color-change takes place so fast with this species. All I can say is that even when housed in a relatively small container with soil at the bottom, they blend in with the ground amazingly. |
