| Yesterday was really hectic, started off with a brand new door lock to one of the snake rooms failing and it took five joiners, builders, contractors to get into the room... when I finally entered the room I found that a pair of our Naja annulifera had laid eggs! Why do snakes always lay / give birth at the most inconvenient time? I knew the snakes had been mating over Christmas and New Year and I had given the snake a choice of boxes to use. She chose this trap box lined with newspaper. There were 15 eggs laid, five of them were bad, infertile so that left 10 that looked OK. I have raised cobras from eggs before so I am hopeful for these. |
