Amazing. Could it be a Leptotyphlops?. You have several species near Durban. Very nice.

Nice link Jon , I think it's Leptotyphlops sylvicolus , I'm going to try it on rat pups and see what happens No really ! I have released the babies where the mother was found .. In my Garden that is. I was told they eat Ant Larvae.

That's good to hear( Still, I can't help but wonder whether or not it might be possible to keep some live specimens of the little beasts in captivity); and Thank you for another interesting Thread and photo-essay, Mr. Hacket.
