Absolutely. If anyone here gets the chance to go to coastal Kenya, Bio-Ken is a must-see. They have a really good display of a wide variety of Kenyan snake species - and not just the showy beasts like mambas, cobras, vipers, etc. but also a lot of the much more obscure "colubrids" - all kept impeccably. They do sterling work in conservation, snake relocation, educating local people and also in gathering cash to supply antivenom for local use. Royjan Taylor, Sanda Ashe and their team are an absolutely fantastic group of people.

The snake safaris are highly recommended. I went out with them for a day safari around Watamu, and in the space of 5 or 6 hours, we saw 1 Dendroaspis polylepis, 2 D. angusticeps, 1 Naja ashei and 1 Rhamphiophis rubropunctatus. Beats a day by the pool anytime Wink

Cheers,

WW
