Very interesting Australasian Elapid venom composition. You would expect more neurotoxins in there, wouldn't you?

Hey there

I`ve just read in the Australian magazine Scales & tails,
that the Collett`s snake got an new name (Cannia colletti)

As a reson they say that the Red Bellied Black Snake the type member of the genus
(Pseudechis) is.
And the rest of the genus moves to the next available name which is (Cannia )!

Has somebody got any further information about that?

Thanks

Falk
