Can anyone give me an idea about prices for small Bitis species (especially B. caudalis, B. cornuta and B. peringueyi) I am interested in prices for animals that are captive bred and that are feeding on mice.

I have seen B. peringueyi sell for 1800€ pair on Terraristik. B. caudalis has been sold here in Sweden for about 500-600€ for an adult male.

B.cornuta was sold in Sweden for 1000eu pair!

I have bred some species a few times and I can tell you that the mentioned prices are not very realistic.

peringueyi as a CB Baby will go for 250-350 Euro/ea
caudalis as a CB Baby will go for 250-450 Euro/each depending on coloration and location
SA cornuta as a CB Baby will go for 350-500 Euro/each also depending on coloration an location
xeropaga as a CB Baby will go for 500-750 Euro/each
worthingtoni as a CB Baby will go for 500-max. 700 Euro/each

armata, rubida, albanica etc are (usually) not available on the market and prices are definitely higher

That's my two cents from my experiences and feeling

How dare you forget to mention B.atropos Marco !! Shame on you

I can get as much as 30 NZ 09 B. peringuey if anybody is interested for 350 each. All females though, no males available...

Sorry, I even forgot one of my favourite species in the world, Bitis atropos......you're right about that: Shame on me ;-)

Bitis atropos are not that often available (especially as CB), and if they are they usually where priced between 450-600 Euro/each
