| Here are a few photographs of my Pakistan Russells viper. I picked him up at Houten snake day last year, and since then he has grown into a fantastic snake. He is by far one of the fastest growing snakes i have kept. When i first aquired him: And how he is today: I would very much like to pick him up a girlfriend at this years snake day, fingers there will be some available. Cheers, Tom |

Russels Vipers are among the "Big Four" snakes (Naja naja, Echis, Bungarus, Daboia) of fatalities the old world. I think this implies that there is some inclination to bite ... |

| Of course I know about it, I keep or I have kept two of them(big four), but aggressiveness is almost only personality trait. I meant exactly that concrete specimen. That's my point. |

Hello Piotr,
He is actually a very relaxed snake and rarely shows any signs of aggression. However, he will sometimes get to the point where he has had enough (especially during a photography session), and will start to hiss loudly and strike out.
cheers, Tom |

| I keep Vipera palestinae, now this is different kind, but it used to be the same, I think they behave very similarly. My viper strikes always when I get too close, but I do this only through the glass. |
