| Ive produce 12 PNG Taipans this year, and some have started to develop rather pale heads. One in particular has an almost white head, very similar to that of a coastal. Im just wondering if anyone else has ever had PNGs that have developed white heads? Both the parents of this baby are typical canni, with dark coloured heads on them, and most of the other babies have darker heads, but this one seems to get lighter with every shed. Some pics: cheers, Tom |

| yes rather unusual...maybe it will darken after some times..??? maybe a different locality from other canni ? Like costal taipan they can have somewhat different colors, from very pale to dark....mine are rather light grey and salmon....with no orange on the back 's male and few for the female ! Very nice taipan. R. |

| Very interesting. The ones I kept were dark and not that exciting IMO. Having a look at Patricks big female (http://www.venomland.net/oxyuranus-f15/o-scutellatus-canni-2-meter-female-t3009.htm) and this one.. I am changing my opinion on them. |

| Really seems more like Coastal Taipan on the head. Maybe this colour is really related to different locality.
