Hey Johnny, Like I said when you bought them mate, the male will let you know. He goes off food and starts to pace endlessly. That's the time to introduce him to the female. These are kenyan, they do not have a cooling period. Cheers mate, Al

In SA where I’m from they are pretty easy to breed. Normally just introduce the male to the female in early spring once the temps start increasing after she has shed. I have heard leaving the shed in the cage helps as well. Generally they are not a problem to breed though. I wouldn’t worry about spraying the snake. We generally just give them simple dry cages consisting of newspaper sheet as a substrate a hide box and a water bowl and they do fine on that. These are obviously SA Puff Adders so I’m not to sure if the husbandry for your Kenyan ones would be any different. As far as I know they seem to like a drier environment. Good luck I hope you are successful!

Mating take place from late autumn to early spring, according to the area and temps.
The young are born from late summer to early autumn (9 - 10month gestation period locally).
New born young tend to be from 15 to 20 cm in length and average batch in captivity sizes vary from about 15 to 40. Have seen batches up to 70.
They don't need much humidity - 30 - 40% is about their norm.
Regards.
