| Wow They almost look like bronzed statues! I have only ever seen silvery ones though, do they have different natural color phases? Or perhaps change with age? |

Vipera ammodytes can be much more than "only" silvery. If you look at the threads about this species in this forum, especially the ones about V.a.amm. from Montenegro / Lake Skutari, you can see some in almost any color.
