| Hello everybody, Here are some photo's of my Aspidelaps. I really like them and I hope to breed them next year when I have a incubator for the eggs. The photo's are a bit old but they are a lot bigger now. Best wishes, Dennis. |

| Hi Dennis. I was lucky to get 6 eggs this season and 6 healthy babies. The babies do better than A. l. lubricus, easier to get feeding on pink mice. Good luck.
Oh btw, A. l. infuscatus is no longer recognised, only A. l. lubricus and A.l cowlesi are valid. |

| Nice snakes Dennis and welcome over here! | Rob Deans wrote: | | The babies do better than A. l. lubricus, easier to get feeding on pink mice. |
I've been breeding the nominate form for several years with 3 breedingfemales and I use chickenlegs to get the baby-lubricus started. Almost all of them started eating at the first time I offered them chickenlegs. Once they are big enough to swallow a baby mouse I give them a chicken-scented mouse for only one or two times. After that they will take unscented mice without any difficulties.
Cheers, Harold |

I´m not sure that I understand.
Does this mean that my A.l. infuscatus is something else? Or should I just call it A lubricus ssp.?

| BROADLEY & BALDWIN synonymized Aspidelaps lubricus infuscatus with A. l. cowlesi.

Peter Zürcher explained me how to build an incubator for a few bucks - it worked great for my Lampropeltis zonata pulchra eggs. And it was really easy - I am not very talented in such things and I got it working. |
