No my god - itīs small, about 15 - 18 cm legspan, hard to measure because itīs a bit nasty. Ate over 20 g mouse before came to me (said Stefu) couple months ago ... hungry one and Iīve given her big cockroaches, those hissling ones. |

| Theraphosa was formerly know as Pseudotheraphosa I keep a possible female Theraphosa apophysis they are said to have bigger leg span than the blondies (33 sm) but are not that massive. |

| Apophysis males have a tremendous leg-span, but lack the mass. Lasiodora parahybana is also gargantuan and also bears concidereable mass.
Very, very nice blondi, Ari!

Not really. Theraphosa blondi always belonged to Theraphosa while apophysis once belonged to the genus Pseudotheraphosa before a revision a few years back. Rarely the Theraphosa exceeds 30cm, most end up around 25cm - still its a massive spider. There are others that grows very big, Lasiodora klugi and Pamphobeteus antinous for example but they are lighter build then the tank Theraphosa blondi. |

I think that you are totally righy, apo is not so massive but longlegged. My Parahybana isinīt very massive even itīs older than both of Theraposas. Some of my older Poecilotherias has bigger legspan than both of Theraposas ... But I like blondies very massive, tanklike, "outfit" ... itīs a real spider, even all my 11 Poecilotherias are much more beautiful. |
