| This time I've filmed tube-feeding of a babyrattler. Using a tube works safer than fixating/holding the snakes' head with your hands. It is also less stressfull to the animal. In this case I've used a feedingneedle and catfood from the Vet. This paté (meat paste) is perfect for feeding with a syringe.
Cheers, Harold |

Where have got hold of the "needle" that you have put on the syringe and what "brand" is the pate ?
Best Regards Daniel |

| Hi Daniel,
you can buy a feedingneedle at a vet (veterinarian). The meat paste I use is from Royal Canin (type: Recovery). You can buy that at the vet too. I use cups op 100gr.

Don't know. This was the first time I've bred this (sub)species. I think they will start without difficulties after their hibernation. But I wouldn't take any risk, so I decided to forcefeed them a few times.
Afew years ago I bought my breedingpair as newbornbabies, and they ate babymice from the beginning without problems. I don't know why the babies from this year haven't taken babymice yet.
Maybe Rainer Fesser can tell us more them? He bred them several times.

I use tubes from MidWest (tongs.com). Those are perfect. http://tongs.com/plasticrestrainingtubesstandard-setof10pcs.aspx

| What kind of enclosures are you using for neonates that size? I really like those. |
