Absolute beauties! I don't see these guys a lot. If I may ask some questions: Is this species ( Atheris in general) difficult to breed, are they snappy little snakes and last do you have any experience with Atheris hispida? They are quite rare within the hobby I believe, but that species truly intriges me. Hope I don't trouble you with my questions Thanks for sharing, love to see these snakes some more! Tim

Very nice, Neven! I love the photo of the squam ball, especially. What type of lens are you using for your macros?

Thank you guys for your kind words. The most credit goes to snakes and good equipment! Atheris are perfect models because they are so still that you can take photos and try different things for hours and they will just stay still and look at you. Derek, u use Canon 5D camera and for the most of these shoots lens Canon Macro 100mm/f 2.8

Again, very nice! Do you use a tripod when doing macros, Neven? I typically use one so that I can have longer exposures for bigger f-stops, but I experimented with some handhelds this last time and they came out okay. I like your macro flash and I am planning to get one sometime in the near future.
