Can you give some more Informations about that, how did you realize that? Do you get symtoms because of molecules in the air which get absorbed by lung and mucous membranes of the mouth? Sorry folks for beeing a bit OT. |

Sure I can.. I´ve kept Naja pallida and Naja nigricollis.. The Naja nigricollis animals would spit at me at all given time and also on the windows of the cages. I used a gas mask when I opend the cages and working with the animals.. But when I was just in the room I didn´t wear any mask. After a year or 2 I started to notice that I got trouble breathing when I was in my room. I must say that I have allergies for allot of things and also a light astma. But at first I thought this was just one time.. But after a while I had this every time I was in the room and so I had to use the mask inside the room all the time. This was no fun at all and also I thought that if I would get bitten by any mistake I would have an allergic reaction to the venom and would be in allot of trouble.. So then I made the hard choise to sell my spitters. After I sold them and cleaned out the cages I never had any allergy reactions when I was in the room.

| [img]  [/img] Just a quick up date 32 out of 32 have hatched all in perfect condition, very very happy incubation at 26-28 degrees 54 days and after they shed will check sex ratio's...thank you all on venom land for your support and kind response, fantastic Herp forum best on the planet..regards Deon |
