PostSubject: Orchidaceous Plant Species - and illegal Logging in Oriental Mindoro   Thu 8 May - 21:41

i have written an paper on the orchidaceus plant species of Puerto Galera with comments on illegal logging and deforestation in general at the Puerto Galera Area.

i will include the 34 pages paper here for download!

the paper has been forwarded to all gov. agencies in charge of environment, conservation etc.pp

- until today - nearly one year later! - no response to it...

the philippines is one of the biodiversity hotspots on earth today, unfortunately, we have lost 95% of our rainforest since end of the world war II... just think about it, 95% !

cheers
Mario

Very good paper. This topic is very impoartant to me.

In your experience, what tactics work in lobbying governments in countries containing rainforests?
