| Nice, it's been a long time since I have seen captive bred melanoleuca" I'm wondering if captive raised youngsters are any easier to get along with than the wild caught demons that used to show up over here in the the trade? |

| Very cool Lourance,
I had some nice melanoleuca not long ago, and I do miss them now, but trying to keep at least 2.2 of all the Naja species was just too much, especially when I already had 6 or more specimens if sumatrana, siamensis, sputatrix, oxiana, kaouthia, and 1.2 Naja naja, 2.1 Malay O. hannah, and 1.1 B. candidus, so I cut back to keeping mainly Asian Naja.
I still have 1.2 Naja haje, 0.1 B. g. rhinoceros, and 1.0 C. atrox/adamanteus, not to mention about 60 Corns, Kings and Milks.
Good luck with the youngins. Maybe one day I will pick up some of my favorite African Naja again.

| Congratulations. Could you please provide any breeding info? We have 2.3 and it's not easy to find much out there.
Cheers

| Lekker vet bliksems. Let us know if you have any available as I would like to obtain some offspring if possible. I'm also in SA so it should be easy. |

| @Wolfgang- I am not sure on the parents locality. I bought them from a dealer who said he imported them from a breeder in Europe. The adults look identical to photo RS06055-4 on page 69 of the book by Maik Dobiey and Gernot Vogel - Venomous Snakes of Africa. It is labeled Kakamega Forest cobra. Hopefully that helps. |
