Hello Michael

Interesting animals, I like caudalis a lot. Hope they accept mice, I have had a few animals from Rosh Pinah Namibia a few years ago, and they where extremely focused on lizzards - similar to Namaquas.

Hope you have more luck and received better speciemens

Best whishes
Marco

It's very difficult to juge what location of caudalis eat some mouse or lizards (i precise in captivity)....i had a male (smaller eater in compare with female) who ate perfectly some pinkies....and female not....
so.........................

Hey Jean

Usually it's quite easy if you have the correct local datas. Western Cape, Namaquas usually make problems in captivity and very often do not accept mice as food. Whilst caudalis from most parts of Namibia rarely make any problems......

But I had difficult speciemens from Pinah and from Etosha National Park in the past

But of course you are right, it's not 100%, but if you know the localities and the problems which they could make, you are better prepared.

For me it's just a rule of thumb :-)

Cheers

Today the male also eats a pinky by his self.
I only must show him the pinky and he start to eat promptly.

At Sunday the female bite first, was waiting the next 10 minutes and eat after I go away.
The female get a life "African-Soft-Furred-Rat" specky and the male a froozen normal mouse pinky...

Michael
