Have you guys noticed your micro's getting fiestier with size? I have a pair of cb 10 animals that were both very easy going, but the male is definitely increasing in aggression as he grows.

Hey Ryan,

I couldnīt observe this with my Inlandtaipans. In my animals it is the other way around, they get more calm with age. My adults and the 2,5 years old holdbacks have the temperament of corn snakes.

Best regards

Frank

How hot are you keeping yours? I guess it could have been a feeding response or my temps might be too high. Basking spot is small but it reaches 100F.

in my experience they are typically docile, but every now and then they have bad scale days and huff and puff and show the inside of their mouths.
i don't trust them one little bit

Hi all,

Many Inlands go through a teenage phase (from about 3 to 4 ft) where they are generally grumpy and more quick to become defensive. This usually wanes when they reach about 5 ft. There are exceptions though...I have 6ft female here that has remained grumpy.

Inlands temperament also improves if they are at their prefered temperature, when they are too cold, they tend to be more defensive.

Cheers,
Scott

Ours are most of the time pretty docile. The little ones were fairly soon calm as well. Not all though and everyone of them has a bad day once in a while.

Cheers, Ro.
