SSAR SURVEY

The Society for the Study of Amphibians and Reptiles is the largest academic herpetological society in the world. Even if you are not familiar with SSAR, you may be familiar with the publications Herpetological Review and the Journal of Herpetology, published by SSAR.

Our society aspires to be inclusive, encouraging and supporting all individuals with an interest in herpetology regardless of their professional affiliation or level of experience. As we work on planning for the future, we would value your thoughts (whether a current member of SSAR or not) about the role of the society and about what you would like from SSAR. We are interested in knowing how we can serve the entire global community of herpetologists, including your thoughts about possible future offerings from the society.

Please consider taking a few minutes to share your thoughts via our SSAR survey. There are two versions, one for current members and one for non-members, but no login or other information is required to access either survey.

The survey can be accessed at

http://www.zenscientist.com/survey.html

You can also read more about the society at

http://www.ssarherps.org

If you know of individuals who may be interested, the please share the link with them. We would like to know how SSAR could better serve the entire herpetological community.

Thank you for your help. If you have any questions about the survey, please feel free to contact me at

870-759-4171 or

Attitude, rather than disposition is more definitive of serpent behavior. From the moment they emerge into this world until they complete their life cycle, their attitude is "Don't tread on me. I am well equipped to defend myself, but content to pass through life unnoticed. I mean no harm to anything or anyone that our creator has not provided as my bill of fare; I am self sustaining and I like it that way, please pass me by." - W.E. Haast
