Hey guys,
in september 2010 I get a Boomslang "male". ~ 120 cm.
Black dorsal, green lateral, yellow ventral and only a little bit turquoise blue at the head!

But see this snake today...
I swear it´s the same snake!





I only remember the color changing from the youngsters to adult after the first year. I never read or heard it from adults...

Yes, they do! Everytime you are in the room you have 8 eyes on you!
They are very intersted in all, curios but never angry. Very calm and reserved snakes!
All eating mice by tweezer.

Never seen a change like this in a snake over a couple of weeks..

It's unbelievable, this nice blue "male" laid last Sunday 6 unfertilized eggs!
We have to wait if she changed the color back...
Maby she goes blue like Morelia viridis in pregnancy?

I never checked the sex because a Boomslang in this color with a head like this was a 100% male for me...!

I dont't know! Green Tree Python do that but I never heared from colubrids!
Normally the RSA Boomslang females are brown!
