| I am pleased to announce that our paper, describing the production and preclinical assessment of the first new snake antivenom for the Australasian region in more than 50 years, has been published today by PLoS Neglected Tropical Diseases:
http://www.plosntds.org/article/info%3Adoi%2F10.1371%2Fjournal.pntd.0001144 PLoS NTD is an open-access journal, so the paper is freely available to anyone who wishes to read or download it.

| *Note taken David , an extremely important paper in content that should be read not once but two or three times and perhaps saved and printed for the technicians own medical files.
*Instituto Clodomiro Picado is surely a leader in their field but even they are in trouble of losing there facilities in the next twelve months and are fighting for finances.
* Mexican antivenom did not neutralize South American Crotaline envenomation at the prescribe dose, may have been specie specific. |

| Hi Albert,
I think ICP have resolved their problems of land tenure. In fact this week they are being awarded the 'Dr Lee Jong-wook Memorial Prize in Public Health at the World Health Assembly, by the World Health Organisation as recognition for their many substantial contributions to antivenom production and research for the developing world.
