Hi,
I looked today in the terrarium of my pair Atheris nitschei WC, which I have since beginning of this year.
And I saw a little black baby first, until now 4 healthy and activ little snakes are born, 1 was born dead in the egg.
I`m curios how much will follow, do you have an information how much babys are normal for Atheris nitschei?
It`s very hard to find informations about that in the www, if someone have informations pls inform me.
This is my first breeding with snakes generally, so I`m very glad and happy about this breed.

I can not help so much, but one thing is important, that they need to drink alot of water.

I got 4 youngsters. They are doing fine and beeing very active!

Have you seen actual copulation or is this a case of a female who have stored sperm and then when condition is right ovulated and germinated the eggs?

Very nice, Christian! Four offspring seems to be pretty normal for this species since they have a very small brood typically. Have you fed them yet? Best of luck with them! I love baby nitschei, they are so cute.
