PostSubject: Hello from NY   Sat 22 Oct - 22:29

I'm a teacher and Zoology Grad Student in NY. I currently don't keep any hots but I am, and have been very interested in keeping venomous reptiles for years now.

I've kept some of the lesser known species such as Dipsas, Imantodes, Sibon, West Indies Epicrates, and Leptodiera.

As for hots go, I'm most interested in Eyelash Vipers (I love just how variable they can be... the genetics interest me), Boiga, Aspidelaps lubricus, Cryptelytrops venustus, Trimeresurus, Bungarus, and Micrurus. I'm excited to learn more about keeping venomous and hopefully being able to contribute some of my knowledge as well.

Welcome Chris

Even if I do not keep Dipsas, Imantodes, Sibon and Leptodiera, they always catch my attention. Unfortunately they are not often seen in captivity.

Love NY and have spend some time over there, but glad that Switzerland is still allowing me to keep my Bothrops and others.

Thanks Michael! I love those species also but would love to get into some hots. NY has laws that are a little too strict for my liking... but I understand why with the amount of idiots that are out there.

Haven't made it to Switzerland yet, but would love to do some backpacking there in the future.
