I'm Tom. And with a bit of delay, heres my introduction. Currently 38 years old. I read about animals and plants for as long I've been able to read and I been always been interested about the exotic, also what lurks in and around my own home. My mother whas never thankfull if I turned up from my nature walks with jars of spiders, frogs and other neet stuff, which I soon released after.
I've started out with keeping Thamnophis sirtalis in 1987. I knew from the start, I'm gonna keep venomous snakes too. and in 1994 I got my first venomous snake, a Eastern Diamondback rattlesnake Crotalus adamanteus, followed soon by all kinds of vipers, one species, for example I've kept for years the Moorish Viper Macrovipera mauritanica, and other neet stuff has been kept in my terarria, including Elapids.
Currently I don't have a lot of snakes anymore, because the laws in Belgium are getting stiffer by the day, making it almost impossible too keep reptiles in a decent way... I hope to enjoy the forum as much as most of you all do...
Cheers... Tommie
