PostSubject: distribution and spitting behaviour   Mon 14 Nov - 7:33

Hello everybody,

What is the connection between distribution of asian Naja species and spitting behaviour? I read about it in a recent study (maybe it was one of Wolfgang Wüster's article). As I know spitting behaviour is missing or not very common in species which live in the western parts of Asia but on the other hand this is very common among species which live in eastern Asia and it’s islands.

By the way African cobras don't show this variety. Think about that african spitting cobras (like pallida, mossambica, nigricollis) can be found almost(!) in the whole continent.

Thank You for every useful informations!

P.S.: sorry but my english is not the best:)
