Excuse my ignorance concerning the correct keeping for this species but, it's not too difficult to get them out in a big enclosure like that ? Or maybe they show up at the window each time you open it ?

Impressive! The rock corner is pretty nice, are the rocks real or did you model them?

Nigel:

Yes I do feed them together.
Even at feedingtime they are very gentle to eachother.
I heard people say its risky but so far so good..

I use different feedingmethods like:
-Feed them with my tong. Let them fight for their food a bit..
-Play hide and seek, Im hiding the food so they have to look for it.
-Sometimes I let them come out and get their own food. See below... :-D

Johannes:
I really dont understand what your asking..
Do you meen the cage to big to get them out?
First, I usually dont take them out. During this years maybe 2-3 times only.
If Im about to do a big clean i open the doors and show them the trapboxes and they go there.
Small quick cleanings I do without disturbing them. If they are to curious I have a bottle of water to spray them. Then they "understand" its not feedingtime..

Frederic: Yes I have two trapboxes inside.

To the rest of you: Thanks! And the rocks are fake. Styrofoam with plaster and paint.

That's an awesome enclosure! I've been wanting to build a bigger one for mine but just haven't gotten to it yet. Have you bred them before?

Very insprational. Thank you for sharing.
I have heared a lot about mamba's and their feeding behaviour will kept together.
Very interesting as they dont seem to have any big "food agression" against each other.
Also I have heared and read they only eat the mice they have bitten themselfs.
Truly stunning beings they are.

Thanks Stefan,

Yes they are very gentle, they seldom go for the same mouse, but if they do they dont fight.
There are plenty of food. Ofcourse they "go" for the food thats moving. For exampe in the partners mouth... :-D thats their instinct. But no fight.

Its not correct what you read that they take only pray they bitten themself..
