Wow...thanks for sharing. Love the Attacus atlas, too bad it die so soon. How long do they normally live?
I chase butterflies when I have the time ( ) and unfortunetely never chased this one but it's one of my favorites.
Got to be with our hobby.

That fasciata spider rainbow thing is awesome as well.

well the Attacus atlas butterflies dont live long, only 2 or 3 weeks until it comes out of the cocoon and in this time they are not eating anything, their only mission is to find a partner to mate and laying egs and their job is done.

It is a female. Sexing Leiurus quinquestriatus is possible through Pectinal Tooth Counts (PTC)
By a female is it between 26 -29 and by male is it between 31-36 teeth.

With little torments I was able to count 26 of them.
