| Hello, Today I put my female with the male. I wanted to do that for a while, but I was a little bit scared that the male would see the female as a food item. The male bit the female once when I put them together, but that was a feeding response. After that both snakes became calmer and now they basking together under the heat lamp. I anticipated more problems, so I'm really happy. 1.1. Naja mossambicaMale (a little above) 140 cm, female smaller (I quess 110 cm). I hope to breed them in 2013. Kind regards, Niels |

| Hello Twan, Thanks, for me this is the most beautiful Naja. "Dull" black skin and a nice grey/brownish color on the scales. Right after shedding it looks like flip flop paint. Awesome! The male (I have him since 2006) almost never spat during his stay in my house. The female spits sometimes when she's startled, but that don't happen a lot. But you're right, when they spit, they spit a lot of venom, especially the male. He has a big head and big venom glands. In comparison with other Naja species I've kept (nivea, annulifera, haje legionis, pallida, kaouthia, siamensis and Rinkhals cobra's) they react strongly on toutch and movement and have a really big feeding response. With handling you have to be more careful, but when you tail them it's okay. Then the're farily calm.
Cheers, Niels |

| Thanks guys! I think Mo likes the female haha. They still very calm to eachother and don't react any different than normal when they where in seperate enclosures, so I think that it wil be fine with these two.
