i love it!!!
thats about the best news i have had since a while..
Congratulation Jörg!

nice to see, at least somebody was following my advices. first P.flavomaculatus eggs since ages in Europe i believe.
well, dont be so happy... its not over yet, long not over!

dont you remove the eggs, under no circumstances! leave them with the female for about 5-6 weeks... dont mind the look the eggs will have in 2-3 weeks, (they ugly, like retic eggs, just before hatching).

also raising the babies is quite a challenge i can tell you. but one by one, step by step - and i am proud!
thanks for giving me such nice news!

cheers
and good luck!

Congratulation!!! It really is a nice result. As Mario wrote, everything just started, but getting eggs is always the most important thing. Now we all have just pray enough for you to have babies hatched soon... Btw, Mario, how long is incubation of eggs among this species?

All the best,
Peter

Parias flavomaculatus as well as Parias mcgregori have a quite short incubation time. our "fastest" eggs hatched after only 40 days. the middle would be 45-47 days, at 28°C and 85% humidity, nighttime a bit cooler in more humid of corse.

jörg - it all started with having a fertile clutch of eggs! you (or the animals) has accomplished this - now the next step will be hatching them... then - we will talk about raising the babies.

it will be good! its a very nice success, as folks in europe still believe the "philippinos" are un-breed-able, which is as far from the truth as i can be.

very well done jörg! you will be successful, i am certain about it.

cheers

One of the finest things I could ever observe.
In my opinion she does an active breeding of the eggs.
Not in the way pyhtons do, but she cover the eggs more or less.

Thanks Peter for the article.
After all I tried to feed my girl too and it worked fine.
Like allways in life, something has to go wrong and in this case my borrowed cam fucked up.
But I don´t want to hide the result of this action.

Hi Jörg,

i dont intend to breed this species this year as i have still yearlings from last year - but you see "eggs happen"...

Again: no worries at all. I was just joking (smilie).
I have no negative feelings against anyone for what happened 60 years ago. In fact my sister is married to a German and I speak German almost as good as English.

I'm sorry for the confusion.
