Thank you for the kind comments, only been into photography for a few months and really enjoying, comments like this really inspire me to try harder and get better.

@Guenter , the pics were taken in my back garden, not too worried about escape, they are quite used to been handled. The tree that i have them in is in a big pot, so i centralize in the garden, so things work well.

Black Mamba's are my favorite snake by far. I have 6 of the beauties.

I use a Canon 350D with a sigma 70-300mm DG Macro lense, the lense is really nice in that it has 1:2 magnification between 200-300mm. It allows to get really nice close up pics of the snakes from about 1m away.
